2. Service Description

busmaps.com provides public transit and shared mobility data:

• Real-time and scheduled transit data (GTFS, GTFS-RT)
• Route planning between locations
• Transit agency schedules and stop information
• Map-based transit visualization
• Developer API access (Free, Pro, and Business plans)

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

Register an account to access:

• API keys and rate-limited endpoints
• Usage statistics and billing management
• Pro and Business plan features (paid subscriptions)

3.2 Your Responsibilities

When you create an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information
• Keep your password and API key confidential
• Accept responsibility for all activity under your account
• Report unauthorized access immediately

3.3 Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account without notice if you:

• Violate these Terms
• Abuse the API or attempt to bypass rate limits
• Provide false information
• Engage in illegal activity through the Service

4. Prohibited Uses

6. Data Accuracy and Liability

6.1 No Warranty

Transit data is provided "as is." We do not guarantee schedule accuracy, real-time precision, or uninterrupted availability.

6.2 Limitation of Liability

busmaps.com is not liable for missed connections, schedule errors, route inaccuracies, data loss, or business interruption. Verify critical transit information with official sources before travel.

7. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy governs how we collect and use your data.

8. Third-Party Links

The Service links to third-party websites. We do not control and take no responsibility for their content or practices.

9. API Access

9.1 Plans

We offer Free, Pro, Business, and Enterprise API plans. Each plan has different rate limits and available endpoints. Your current limits are shown in your profile under API Access. Plan comparison and pricing at /en/developers.

9.2 API Rules

You agree to:

• Respect rate limits. Do not bypass or circumvent them.
• Credit busmaps.com as the data source in your application
• Keep your API key confidential
• Not resell or redistribute API data without written authorization

9.3 Violations

Bypassing rate limits, sharing API keys, using multiple accounts to inflate quotas, or scraping beyond your plan limits may result in immediate suspension, account termination, or legal action.

10. Subscriptions and Billing

10.1 Plans

busmaps.com offers Free, Pro, Business, and Enterprise API plans. Features, pricing, and limits are listed on the Developers page.

10.2 Free Trial

New Pro and Business subscriptions start with a 14-day free trial. No charge during the trial. Cancel before day 15 to avoid any payment. If you do not cancel, billing starts automatically.

10.3 Billing

Subscriptions are billed in advance (monthly or annually). Stripe processes all payments. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your payment method.

10.4 Cancellation

Cancel any time in your profile under Subscription. You keep paid plan access until the end of the billing period. No partial refunds.

10.5 Price Changes

We may change pricing with advance email notice. New prices apply from your next billing cycle.

10.6 Failed Payments

Failed payments may trigger access restrictions. Keep a valid payment method on file. Repeated failures result in automatic downgrade to the Free plan.

11. Service Changes

We may modify, limit, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use means you accept the changes.

12. Geographic Restrictions

The Service operates from servers in multiple countries. We make no claim that it is available or legal in all locations.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify busmaps.com and its employees from claims, damages, and expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the Service operates.

15. Disputes

Disputes will be resolved through negotiation first, then mediation, then binding arbitration.

16. Severability

If a court finds any provision invalid, the rest of these Terms remain in effect.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the full agreement between you and busmaps.com.
