FAQ

How do I access Shared Mobility data?

Subscribe to Pro or Business plan and use your existing API key. Same authentication (capi-key header) as all other endpoints.

What is the difference between GBFS and GTFS?

GTFS = scheduled public transit (buses, trains, metro). GBFS = shared mobility (bikes, scooters, cars). BusMaps provides both through one API.

How often is the data updated?

Vehicle positions and station availability: every 30–60 seconds (varies by operator). Station locations and pricing: daily.

Which operators are covered?

1,000+ operators in 50+ countries: Lime, Bird, Tier, Voi, Bolt, Nextbike, and hundreds of local providers.

Can I build intermodal routes?

Yes. The Business plan gives you GTFS (transit), GBFS (shared mobility), and pedestrian routing together. Example: scooter to metro, bus across town, bike to the office.
